These statements do not necessarily reflect the views of the operators of this site and so RIC disclaims any responsibility for any statements or material that a visitor or user may find offensive, inaccurate or in any way objectionable. All visitors and users (whether players or games masters) agree to the following terms and conditions, as a condition of using this site and the gaming system. Any questions or comments about these terms and conditions should be sent to admin@rebornthegame.com.
Please refer to the Copyright page for a general statement about copyright and the text, media, coding and other material on this web site.
For the purposes of these conditions, RIC is considered to be both a written publication (hence full copyright is applicable) and also a computer game (so the design, algorithms, text and code found within this site is also subject to copyright).
To further clarify:
Users and other visitors must not copy, clone or steal any of the gaming techniques, details of the universe in which the game is set, unique ideas and player interface designed for and by the owners of RIC. This provision applies to, but it is not limited to, the characters and gaming system, posting interface and all intellectual property rights applicable under the fullest extent of the law.
RIC offers no indemnity to users of this web site. To further clarify this point:
Whilst we do not use any malicious software ourselves, we offer no warranty that this site has not had such malware posted by others.
Although RIC functions 24/7 for 365 days of the year: we can give no guarantee that the web site and gaming system will be available at any given moment. The web site and gaming system may not be available because of the sometimes unpredictable nature of the internet, the multiple service providers that can be involved, the process of updates, backups and unforseen system downtime.
RIC is a roleplaying game, and at least some of the characters are rough individuals. Because players of RIC must be aged 15 or over, some colorful language in round posts is acceptable. However, excessive vulgar / objectionable language is considered to be inappropriate. If a games master feels that the use of language is inappropriate they may edit that language before incorporating the language into the next round.
Emails between player, the campaign's GM and the RIC Admin should use language that is measured and courteous. A player who is considered to be using objectionable language, especially if it is derogatory of an individual, sexist, racist or otherwise inappropriate, may result in emails from the player being blocked. Repeated offences may result in the individual's membership of RIC being suspended or even cancelled.
A player who is offended or otherwise finds objectionable the language used by another player should contact their games master. If the concern relates to a games master, the player should send an email to admin@rebornthegame.com.
Any abuse of a RIC account and of these Terms and Conditions, may result in suspension or deletion of a user account at any time, pending the judgement of the system operators.
It is currently free to play Reborn: The Invessi Chronicles. Even if a player subscription is later introduced, players who commence in a RIC campaign will not be obliged to pay to continue to play while this system remains operational.
Persons who wish to play RIC must complete a membership application form. Applications are considered by the operators of this site. The operators reserve the right to accept or reject any application. The decision of the operators is final and not subject to appeal or review.
